Making pots can be a solitary activity; hands in clay, lost in thought. But we make our pots with the knowledge at the forefront that these are pieces to be eventually used and treasured by another pair of hands and with this we feel a sense of community.

This week, whilst I’ve been waiting for my baby to arrive (still waiting, luckily us potters are well versed in the art of patience), I’ve spent the time photographing a selection of pieces from our latest gas firing. We’re so proud of this body of work, it’s what we’ve been working hard to develop for the past few years.

Pots for Palestone. All donations will support Atfaluna Society and Sulafa Embroidery Centre, who among a handful of grassroots organisations are distributing aid in their communities in the central and southern areas of the Gaza Strip.
